THIS IS YOUR MOTHER
This is a post-refugee story that picks up where the others usually end, while the journey into Europe is almost always traumatic and eventful in itself, it is only ever the beginning of an entirely new way of life for those who endure it, and rarely is that side of the story ever explored in any detail. This film hopes to redress that imbalance and shine a light on how difficult the rebuilding of lives can be, often in the mundane setting of a family home, or the unfamiliar and foreign surroundings of a new country in Europe.
“He who has a why to live, can bear with almost any how.”
